Inspired by the distinctive dress of nineteenth-century rural Wales and the long tradition of hand knitting. I wanted this piece to feel warm and decorative, surrounding the knitter with flowers, leaves and bold pattern drawn from my love of folk art.

A quiet moment in a greenhouse overflowing with tomatoes, sunflowers and cucumbers, with a watchful cat keeping company. I made this illustration as a celebration of growing things – the colour, abundance and small pleasures of spending time in the garden.
